San Salvador, El Salvador (November 6, 2024) – Last week, we embarked on a whirlwind trip to El Salvador, a country brimming with potential. Our primary goal was to explore opportunities for BlueRidge Data and build strong partnerships with key players in the region and to establish the BRD hub for operations to service all Latin America.   

A Local Champion 

Our journey began with an introduction over coffee with Mario Tenorio Ordóñez, a former InvestinElSalvador government official with deep-rooted connections in the nation. His insights and guidance proved instrumental in navigating the local business landscape. We were impressed by his entrepreneurial spirit and his commitment to fostering economic growth in the country. 

Strategic Partnerships 

One of the highlights of our trip was a lunch meeting with Arturo Arieta, an attorney and son of the head of the Central American College Association. His extensive network and deep understanding of the educational sector opened doors to potential collaborations with universities in El Salvador and beyond.

We also connected with Gabriela Rivas, Head Strategist at Applaudo, a leading technology company, founded by a former Dell executive. Their impressive client roster, including renowned organizations like the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Walmart, speaks volumes about their capabilities. We’re excited to explore pilot programs with Applaudo and leverage our data to grow their market share in the U.S. 

Government Relations 

To strengthen our ongoing presence in El Salvador, we secured a meeting with Elsy Vasquez, Head of the Diaspora at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Andrea Cañas, Head of Investment and Business Department with the Diaspora, to identify ways they can engage their diaspora population worldwide. This meeting will also provide valuable insights into government policies and initiatives that will allow us to adapt and grow our business within the region.

As we conclude our trip, we’re optimistic about the future of BlueRidge Data in El Salvador and Latin America. The warm hospitality, entrepreneurial spirit, and abundant opportunities make this country a compelling destination for investment and innovation.
